Passion 2004
Innovative, curious, and attentive to detail…that’s what drove Coconut Glen to create magic for the tastebuds! His humble beginnings started in the dishpit. With tenacity and talent Glen went straight to the top and his mission began to materialize.
Adventure 2005-2006
After graduating Culinary School, Glen knew the sky was the limit! Traveling Europe and training under Michelin star Chefs expanded Glen’s vision to make life on earth a better place through food, story and song.
Humble Beginnings 2007-2010
With wisdom, whimsy and wonder, Glen continued his quest. He quit the high-pressured life of a chef in Boston. He left for Hawaii with a backpack, a guitar, and a dream to live farther from stress and closer to nature. He bought a 1973 VW bus, named her Remedy, and started selling coconuts on the side of the road. The locals quickly began referring to him as “Coconut Glen”.
Divine Intervention 2010-2013
Grateful of his coconut success, on one particular moonlit evening Glen swears he heard the whisper of an angel. “Ice Cream,” it said and Glen then fully understood his purpose.
Vision in Action 2013-2016
Aligning with his values of holistic wellness, Glen made his ice cream Elixir VEGAN and ORGANIC. Incorporating his food knowledge with his creative genius, Coconut Glen’s was receiving rave reviews and was even rated one of the top ten “Best Ice Creams in the World” by Conde Nast Travel Magazine!
Growth 2016-2019
Using his abundance of coconuts, the ice creamy Elixir was born! Glen wasted no time in sharing these sweet treats. Step up to the “Bubble Bus” and choose your flavor!
Expansion 2019-2022
Coconut Glen’s has expanded their reach on the island of Maui and offers pints of their dreamy Vegan ice creamy Elixirs at local grocery stores and restaurants making his brand an institution for locals and travelers alike. His passion now continues with bringing Coconut Glen’s nationwide!
